Ben and I have been together since 2007 and our lives have changed a great deal over the years; we went from a blended family with two kids to empty nesters. One of the things we both have always loved is being outside surrounded by nature. Now that we have less family commitments it was time for us to find something just the two of us.
Ben and I live in southern Ontario and started exploring the Bruce trail several years ago with our dog Cooper. That led to us buying a canoe and exploring the little lakes around us. Which then led us to buy a small travel trailer and exploring the conservation and provincial parks near us. All of this has helped us Xplore the Journey that is our life.
This year is going to busy, here are the upcoming trips:
Valens Conservation Area - May
Mikisew Provincial Park - May
Port Burwell Provincial Park - June
Newfoundland - July
Selkirk Provincial Park - August
R-Pod Ontario Rally - Valens - September
Oastler Provincial Park - October
A peaceful morning at Valens Conservation Area.
Cattails have always been one of my favourite things to find in marshy areas. Did you know that the root of the cattail is edible?
